From next March the carrier will serve the Romanian capital twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

William Pearson, aviation development director, Birmingham Airport, said: “We are excited to be part of Blue Air’s expansion programme for 2016 and pleased that they have chosen Birmingham.
Gheorghe Racaru, general manager Blue Air, said: ”The 2016 summer schedule brings over 23 new Blue Air routes and the visible increase triggers an expansion of the fleet and number of employees.
“Blue Air fleet currently includes 15 aircraft and by the end of March next year it will reach a total of 20 Boeing 737 aircraft.”
