Peak summer bookings for Hoseasons were up 13% in June compared with June 2016, with luxury lodge bookings up 21% and boutique hot tub breaks up 25% year-on-year for the same period.
Meanwhile sister company cottages.com saw sales of the company’s luxury range rise 49% last month and hot tub bookings increase 35%.
Simon Altham, managing director revenue, Wyndham Vacation Rentals UK, said he believed the ongoing politcial uncertainty and currency challenges may have prompted the demand for "better quality UK breaks this summer".
He added: “In times of uncertainty, getting value for money is at the forefront of consumers’ minds.
“Hardworking Brits might be feeling the pinch, but they don’t want to compromise on quality when it comes to their well-earned breaks. High-end lodge and luxury cottage properties offer those looking to enjoy the finer things a perfect break away, without having to break the bank.”
In particular, Hoseasons noted that the south-west continued to be the best-performing region for Hoseasons, with summer bookings last month up 21% compared with June 2016.
Meanwhile North Yorkshire, Northumberland and North Norfolk were the strongest areas for cottages.com over the same period, with bookings increasing 37% compared with June 2016.
