As part of the shake-up, the line has created two new roles and is seeking regional sales managers for the south-east of England, Scotland and Ireland.
Former regional sales managers Jonny Peat and Mandy Burrie will take on the respective titles of business development manager – tasked with sourcing and developing new partnerships – and strategic account manager retail north.
Zoe Edwards will become strategic account manager retail south, with the changes coming into effect on March 1.
Asked if further expansion would be likely, Stirrup, director of sales UK and Ireland, told TTG: “Absolutely. We are growing as a business and we’ll continue to look if we’ve got the right amount of people to work with our trade partners, so it’s constantly being looked at and [we’re] making sure we’re putting all the people in the right place.
“We have got huge opportunities for growth with Edge and Apex [launching in Southampton next year] – we need to make sure we’re fit for purpose.”
She continued: “More and more agents want to work with us and we want to make sure we’re really giving the right focus and getting their feedback.
“Not every trade partner wants visits every week – some want phone calls or quarterly visits.”
Stirrup said the roles would be advertised both internally within Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd and externally this week.
“Since the news was announced, the phones have been ringing,” she added.
