It comes in the wake of the line’s announcement that it is to become direct-sell from February 15 next year.
In a statement the line insisted that travel agents would “still be able to manage all 2016 reservations with the support of our own customer service team”.
It added that it would also honour all planned marketing activity with travel agencies for 2016 bookings.
Costa said only the UK would be moving to this business model. It also stressed that the change would apply to the Costa brand rather than any other Carnival-owned lines.
“All other branches of Carnival will be continuing their business as they currently are. Their relationships with the UK trade will continue as usual," it added.
