The airport has been recording a monthly average of 7.1% in passenger growth this year.
However, new figures show that in October the growth was limited to 1.4% following Monarch’s demise which carried 4.5% of the airport’s flights with an average of 285 per week.
Despite the dip in growth, October was still the busiest one yet for the airport, with long-haul traffic up by 13.3% with Hong Kong, New York, Los Angeles and Vancouver all proving popular.
Domestic growth was also strong with passenger numbers for Inverness, Edinburgh, the Isle of Man and Newquay all showing increases.
