Programme manager Fiona Attrell said both of the regions had been introduced to meet customer demand and offer more flexibility when booking breaks.
She added: “Sardinia was chosen to appeal to a wide audience and was a logical progression for the programme, which reflects increasing consumer demand for this area.
“The Aeolian Islands are another stunning destination located off the island of Sicily. It is a great option for a multi-centre holiday when combined with one of our other Sicilian destinations or as a relaxing seven-night holiday.
“The aim to offer guests flexibility, variety and choice with their holiday influenced our decision to add the Aeolian Islands to the Inghams Italy programme.”
Attrell said new tours had been introduced with the aim of attracting new customers while giving repeat bookers new product.
She added: “In some areas we have focused on the traditional audience and built upon old Inghams favourites including the city breaks and garden visits.
“This manifested itself in the Palaces and Gardens of Rome tour, which combines visits to gardens in the north of Rome and three nights in the city.
“We have also worked to attract a younger demographic adding e-biking in Puglia and The Flavours of Vesuvius, Flavours of Sicily and Flavours of Puglia tours, which focus on food, local delicacies and wine.”
Prices for the Rome explorer tour lead in at £1,399pp and include seven nights’ B&B accommodation and some other meals, return flights with regional departure options and a number of guided tours both in and around Rome.
