Kuoni’s head of trade sales Darrington revealed last week that she is to join Funway Holidays in March as sales director.

A spokesperson for Kuoni UK said: “At the moment we don’t have a replacement for Amanda as she has made the decision herself to leave and join Funway Holidays.

“We are very sorry to lose Amanda, but we understand this is a great move for her and wish her all the best.

“We’ll look at how we replace her and will let our trade partners know that in due course, but in the meantime Amanda has a strong team and they will continue to give our partners their full support.”

Darrington started at Kuoni UK in 2008 and has been in her most recent role since 2012. Before then she worked for the likes of Thomas Cook and financial services firm BGL Group.

“I’ve had seven awesome years at Kuoni UK, but it felt the right time to move on and further my career with a fast-growing company where I can use my skills to make a real difference,” Darrington said.
