The bow-to-stern makeover of the 3,634 passenger ship will take a month with the ship’s accommodation, leisure areas and restaurants all set for an overhaul.
New stateroom options will include 26 Panoramic Ocean View staterooms featuring floor-to-ceiling glass walls while a further 53 staterooms will be available following the makeover.
A new collection of waterslides called the Perfect Storm will include the first boomerang-style slide at sea called Tidal Wave.
Other new racer slides will include Cyclone and Typhoon, both of which will be located at the stern of the ship by the Flowrider surf simulator.
An adult-free aqua park called Splashaway Bay is also being included.
New restaurants will include Sabor, specialising in modern Mexican cuisine, while Giovanni’s Table is an Italian trattoria offering classic cocktails and Italian food.
Liberty of the Seas will sail seven-night Western Caribbean itineraries every Sunday from Galveston starting from November 2015, visiting various destinations including Belize City in Belize; Cozumel in Mexico and Montego Bay in Jamaica.
