Carnival Cruise Line said that all of its ships were safe, and all itineraries departing from today (September 14) would sail as scheduled.
The line issued revised itineraries for postponed sailings rescheduled this week to Cozumel, Nassau and Freeport (onboard Conquest, Glory, Magic, Vista, and Sensation).
Royal Caribbean cancelled a sailing on Empress of the Seas, due to depart for Cuba on September 13, and Majesty of the Seas, scheduled for a Bahamas cruise on September 15, in order to use the ships in the relief effort in the Caribbean.
The line is offering customers a full refund as well as a 25% future cruise credit, if a new cruise is booked in the next 30 days.
Norwegian Sky was also used in the relief effort.
Royal Caribbean said: “Given Hurricane Irma’s impact on St Maarten, St Thomas and Key West, we will be working on alternative ports for future sailings until these islands have fully recovered.”
A spokesperson for Celebrity Cruises confirmed the line’s Celebrity Equinox Southern Caribbean sailing on September 15 from Miami would feature an altered itinerary.
Meanwhile, Royal Caribbean Cruises used Enchantment of the Seas to take head office staff to safety.
