The Star Alliance member has created SAS Go Light, which will apply from April 27, 2016 on all routes around Europe including the airline’s UK services.
Go Light will be sold alongside the existing SAS Go and SAS Plus tickets. The airline said the new fare would be “around £10 lower each way than for SAS Go”.
Stephanie Smitt Lindberg, vice president customer journey and Loyalty at SAS, said: “We’ve listened to our customers, who want a more scaled-down option and tickets in a lower price range for those traveling without check-in bags.
“That’s why we’re now launching SAS Go Light for all European destinations.”
SAS Go Light includes the option to cancel with a full refund within 24 hours, as well as allowing passengers to choose their seat 22 hours before departure.
