Charlery-Leon, who took up the position earlier this month, will be tasked with growing the number of UK and Ireland arrivals to the Caribbean nation as well as strengthening its trade relationships.
She returns to the St Lucia Tourist Board having launched the organisation in the UK 12 years ago.
According to the tourism authority, under Charlery-Leon’s leadership, St Lucia was able to boost its UK arrivals by 40%.
Agnes Francis, executive chairperson of the St Lucia Tourist Board said: “Patricia will bring a level of expertise and certainty to St Lucia, which we hope will make it easier for collaboration and communication.”
