It comes after the travel giant dropped both Belleair Holidays and Balkan Holidays in September.
In response to the move, the company insisted it “features a similar offering to Belleair Holidays and Balkan Holidays and we are confident that our strong in-house portfolio will allow us to continue to offer our customers the comprehensive range of holiday experiences they demand”.
Speaking to TTG, Chris Mottershead confirmed he was continuing to evaluate the company’s list of third party operators.
“Yes I’m reviewing. As the new managing director, we’re looking at all parts of the business. We want to focus on holidays that complement our own – we don’t want to be selling things that are directly competing [with our offering], so inevitably there will be some [third-party operators] that fall out.”
With regards to Belleair Holidays and Balkan Holidays, Mottershead said: “I believed that we had directly competing holidays with them.
“I want to give the business more focus,” he added. “Firstly on promoting our own holidays, secondly on promoting cruise, which is a huge focus for us, and thirdly on our ancillary products.
“We had a history of selling lots of operators. Looking at our third party suppliers is just one part of a major review of everything.”
