The Travel Hour with Gatwick Express is hosted by award-winning presenter Clive Bull, and broadcast on Sunday evenings from 8 til 9pm.
Two travel experts join him for the hour, to discuss travel stories from the week and take phone calls and text messages from listeners.
John Warrington, director of Camden-based Janaway Travel, is appearing in 12 of the 13 episodes, and was last week (July 31) joined by TTG editor Pippa Jacks to co-host the phone-in.
Warrington, who presented a travel programme on LBC in the 1990s, and also appeared regularly as a travel expert on Open House with Gloria Hunniford on Channel 5, said he is thrilled to be back on the airwaves.
“It’s good exposure for Janaway Travel, and I still have clients who used to listen to me 20 years ago,” he said.
“It’s also great fun; we never know what sort of questions we’re going to be asked, but having been a travel agent for 42 years, I am well used to that."
LBC, which is broadcast nationally on digital radio, is currently celebrating achieving its largest ever audience figures, reaching 1.7 million listeners each week (according to Rajar figures).
Audience research shows 57% of listeners take between two and four holidays each year, and 42% like to take holidays of more than 14 nights in duration.
A quarter of listeners agreed that radio travel features influence their holiday choices, and almost half (48%) said they book their holidays with a travel agent.
LBC is one of eight radio stations managed by Global, alongside Heart, Capital, Classic FM, Radio X, Capital XTRA, Smooth and Gold – collectively broadcasting to 24 million listeners each week.
The programme is running for an initial period of 13 weeks, sponsored by Gatwick Express, with hopes it will be extended.
