The new cruise line said it planned to incorporate “the Virgin brand’s deep-rooted history in music” into facilities on the ship, which is due to launch from Miami in April 2020.
Music-based attractions will include The Groupie, an onboard bookable karaoke, gaming and movie lounge, while Voyage Vinyl will offer records from all eras and genres, with passengers able to take advantage of personal listening stations as well as enjoy live DJ sets.
Virgin Voyages, which has already announced a DJ residency with Mark Ronson, revealed that MK (Marc Kinchen) and electronic music duo Sofi Tukker will also be performing as part of the DJ residency programme including events on ship, in-port destinations and at The Beach Club at Bimini in the Bahamas.
