The Spanish low-cost carrier, which is part of British Airways’ parent company International Airlines Group, will begin the routes from June.
Vueling’s Manchester to Alicante service will operate three times per week on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. While the Rome Fiumicino route will be twice weekly on Monday and Friday.
Both routes will be served by an Airbus A320 with have capacity for 180 passengers. One-way fares start from £55 to Alicante and £58 to Rome.
Manchester airport managing director Ken O’Toole said: “Alicante and Rome are popular destinations with our 22.9 million passengers and these additional services reinforce our status as the UK’s global gateway for the north of England."
