The premium cruise line – part of Royal Caribbean Group – confirmed in June it was carrying out a structural review of its sales and marketing teams across multiple regions, including the UK and Ireland.
Claire Stirrup, Celebrity Cruises' UK and EMEA Managing Director, this week confirmed to TTG the review had concluded, but declined to comment on "personal matters" when asked about the details.
However, Simpson – who joined more than two years ago – posted about her redundancy on LinkedIn. "This is definitely a post that I didn't plan to write," she said.
"Redundancy is always a cruel process to be part of, and I'm very sad to say that my role at Celebrity Cruises has been made redundant and therefore I am open to work.
"I would love to hear from you if you have any opportunities coming up or would simply like a chat or a catch-up."
English, who held several business development and sales roles over nearly 20 years, left Celebrity in June. He had been with Celebrity's parent company Royal Caribbean Group for more than 33 years.
In a statement, Celebrity previously said: "We regularly review how our teams are structured to best support the brand. As these discussions are ongoing, we have nothing further to share at this time."
TTG contacted Celebrity for further comment on Simpson and English's departures.
