The organisation said that after five years of outsourcing contracts it would be changing the model of representation of the Brazilian tourism abroad, which will now solely operate out of Brazil itself.
“The objective is to strengthen the international promotion agenda for Brazil as a destination to attract more tourists to the country,” said the tourist board in a statement.
“Now, Embratur will deepen market actions and share commercial intelligence.
“The relationship with the international trade will continue to be led by Embratur’s technical staff in Brasilia and also in the international strategic markets.
“In this new phase, the institute will carry out actions to promote Destino Brasil abroad and the team will strengthen relations with more than 23 thousand international partners mapped by Embratur, among tour operators, airlines, travel agencies and others.”
UK manager Lilas Nascimento circulated an email thanking recipients for their support during her five years in the UK. She has now left the post.
