In April 2026, I joined a partnership fam hosted by Amanzoe and One&Only Aesthesis, two of Greece's most compelling luxury properties – and two very different conversations.
If you have high-net-worth clients and are not already selling both, you should be.
Here is what I came back knowing that I did not before.
They serve completely different clients and that is the point
This is the first thing to understand, and it shapes every client conversation you will have.
Amanzoe, perched on a hilltop above the Peloponnese near Porto Heli, is ultra-luxury in the truest sense. The architecture alone stops you.
Classical columns, marble floors, fragrant gardens, and views that stretch across olive groves all the way to the Aegean.
This is the property for the client who wants to escape everything but surrender nothing. The comfort levels are extraordinary and the sense of privacy is unlike almost anywhere else I have stayed.

One&Only Aesthesis, meanwhile, surprised me in the best possible way. Nestled in protected forest in Glyfada on the Athenian Riviera, this stunning resort offers 127 mid-century styled rooms as well as villas equipped with private pools.
I expected luxury. What I did not expect was the warmth and the energy of the place.
It has a genuine family soul, a KidsOnly club, connecting bungalows with fire pits, Epos Family Suites, three pools including a dedicated family pool, and a 2.2km stretch of beach.
It is also only 25 minutes from central Athens and 20 minutes from the airport, which makes it the perfect anchor for a Greece itinerary that combines city and resort time.
One&Only is luxury. Amanzoe is ultra-luxury. Both have their place and your job as a travel designer is knowing which client belongs where.
The villa product at Amanzoe will stop you in your tracks
I stayed in a villa at Amanzoe and I am still thinking about it.
The private pool, the scale of the outdoor space, the views across the Aegean, the private chef arriving each morning – nothing I had read or what clients who have stayed have shared, prepared me for what it actually feels like to be there.
Villas range from one to nine bedrooms, each with its own pool, a dedicated host, and access to the beach club.
For multigenerational groups, extended families, or clients who want the full Aman experience without sharing it with anyone, this is the conversation to be having. See it if you can. It sells itself the moment you can speak to it from experience.
Think carefully about how your clients arrive at Amanzoe
This is a practical one that will save you a difficult conversation post-trip.
The road transfer from Athens is long and if your clients are doing it by car, you should build in a lunch stop and set the expectation early.
The transfer is not a footnote. It is part of the journey and should be treated as such.
My strong recommendation is to look at the alternatives. A helicopter transfer is genuinely exceptional and frames the arrival beautifully.
For clients who want something with real theatre, arriving by yacht charter is one of those moments they will talk about long after the trip is over. The transfer is not a footnote. It is part of the journey and should be treated as such.
One&Only Aesthesis has a sense of place that makes you want to return
What struck me most about Aesthesis was that it does not feel like somewhere you visit once.
The surrounding area has a vibrancy and a local character that draws you back, and the property carries that energy rather than existing in spite of it.
Pine-shaded grounds, a Guerlain spa, dining overseen by Michelin-starred chefs, a beach club that manages to feel relaxed and special at the same time.
For clients combining Athens with a resort stay this is the natural answer. For families it genuinely rivals anything else in the Mediterranean right now and I say that having seen a lot of the Mediterranean.
Book ahead and talk to your clients about seasonality
Both properties peak in July and August and villa availability at Amanzoe in particular moves fast.
For clients who want the experience with more space and slightly better value, May, June and September offer exceptional conditions with far fewer crowds.
Have that conversation early. It is one of those recommendations that clients thank you for long after they return.
Greece at this level deserves to be in every serious travel designer's toolkit.
These two properties make that case better than anything else I have seen this year.
